Who provides this app
Field Memory is provided by Neretlyoosa Studio. For privacy or support questions, contact neretlyoosastudio@gmail.com. Effective date: 6 September 2026.
Information on your device
Project names, project details, field days, notes, categories, selected or captured photos, and optional photo locations are stored locally on your device. Field Memory does not operate a server that receives this information. There are no accounts, advertisements, analytics SDKs, or automatic app cloud sync.
Photos and camera
Camera permission is requested when you take a photo. Captured photos are saved to your phone Gallery when available; if this fails, a private app copy is saved. Imported photos are chosen using the system photo picker. On Android, selected imports are copied into private app storage. The app does not request broad access to your photo library on Android 13 or later. On older Android versions, storage permission may be requested to save captured photos to Gallery.
Optional location
GPS is off unless you enable it in Settings. With your foreground location permission, the app can attach your current latitude and longitude when saving photos. For imported photos, this is the location at save time, not their original location. There is no background tracking. Your device location provider may process requests under its own privacy policy.
Sharing, exports and backups
Reports and ZIP exports are created locally. They may contain photos, notes, project details and locations. You choose whether and where to share them using your phone sharing controls. Recipients and services you choose handle exported data under their own policies. Gallery photos may be synced by your photo backup service. Android system backup or device transfer may copy app data according to your phone settings; Field Memory does not control those services.
Retention and deletion
Your records remain until you delete them or clear app data. Removing a project, day or photo removes its app records and associated private photo copies. Removing an app record never deletes a Gallery original; manage those in your Gallery. Unassigned quick photos remain saved as a draft until you assign or remove them. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes private app storage, but Gallery originals, exported files, recipient copies and system backups may remain. Export important work before uninstalling.
Security and your choices
Private app storage uses Android application isolation. Field Memory does not add separate database encryption. Protect your device with a screen lock. Camera and location permissions can be changed in phone Settings. You can use projects and notes without these permissions. Contact us by email only with information you want to share; messages you send are handled to respond to your request.
Changes
Updates to this policy will appear here with a revised effective date. The Play Store listing identifies the app publisher and public support contact.
